Everything about this sunflower field Waimanalo Country Farms elopement is stunning. Luke and Lauren had a beautiful day of sunshine and light rays that made their fun and intimate Hawaii wedding portraits all the more perfect. These lovebirds are middle school sweethearts (talk about precious!!) and went to the courthouse when they were 18 so Lauren could move to Hawaii where Luke is stationed. Later that year, they welcomed beautiful twin girls into the world!! They are such a sweet family.
Lauren and I have known each other since the first time our hubbys deployed together. She is a carefree spirit who is super fun and laid back. She is also the queen of memes and is the only reason I am not super behind the times thanks to the hilarious posts she shares on Facebook (Ryan is way more with it when it comes to memes, any time I think I find a new one he hasn’t seen…he’s seen it haha). Luke is a sweet, soft-spoken guy who was a little nervous about taking their elopement portraits but he quickly warmed right up.
We frolicked through the flowers, sipped on the DELICIOUS freshly squeezed lemonade and admired the farm’s awesome vintage VW bus. This beautiful sunflower field hugged by the Ko’olau mountain range was the boho hippie magic that they were dreaming of for their portraits. Sunflowers are also my favorite flower next to the King Protea so I was in awe of the beauty surrounding us. Also, we made friends with a cute cow who got loose and decided to mosey on through the flowers too. This farm is seriously the perfect venue for an intimate wedding or elopement!
